Food placed on the table,it is a most common scene in our daily lives. However, the food in the plates have their own facial expression...I felt the loneliness and realized the outlook on a small world when I firstly saw the works of the artist.
What on earth is this living thing that named "these kids those kids"?
With mass-production and heavy comsumption, our country Japan is a top garbage -producing country in the world, says Noriko Katsura.
Originally, the food are living creatures one by one,and then they are thrown away being ignored of their lives.I feel lonely and sad about this.It reminds me that we could not forget to defend our rights and honour as human beings.
It seemed that she had some resistance when I called it "Animism of the dinner table".
It is said that originally it is fairies who live in the forest in Asia, and we human beings now live there naturally.
Yet, a civilized country? If so,could those creatures in dinner table survive in Japan?
This natural or animation's pictorial representation gives us the image of developmental or degenerative human brains, and feelings of the withered livings.
It is the first time for the young talent to be showed.Let us see and enjoy it.

Artist's comment
I want to draw. My works arise from the desire.
Simply, while I am drawing what I want and what in my mind, I question myself why I am drawing this painting and what I want to express.
Then, I realize that I want to draw about human lives, living creatures.
All the things aroud me,for instance those living creatures which though can not move, they support the human beings to live on.
I admire it very much, and want to draw out their living images.
Like feeding my own kids, I filled them with love and created them.
If you could feel anything while seeing these kids, I would be most grateful.
