My inspiration to create my artworks comes from different kinds of invisible phenomenon around me.
Tiny incidents in daily life such as feeling the warmth of the sun in a train, or finding a small light source around me in darkness invigorates the creative forces inside of me.
These "incidents" also makes me realize that every single object, whether living or not, has some kind of soul in it. This animistic realization occurred naturally to me, and I enforce that feeling into a form which becomes visible in my art works.
To create my artwork, I first stack plywood in block shapes. From there, I chisel away to try to find the true form, which seems to be integrated as one. Stack up and chisel away.
I repeat this process continuously since it is an important fundamental cycle of life.
People build up various experiences in their life until they come to a point where they must choose only what they truly want and eliminate the rest. There, they find their true essence of themselves. This is how my art is created.
I constantly show my works at various exhibitions and each time when my creative process is over, a different newer energy is born inside of me as if reincarnation.
That is why I repeat my entire process of creating again, and find the essence of my creation at that moment over and over, just like a phoenix.
