Born in Normandy, France, Marion Dubier-Clark has travelled around the world, from Austria to Mexico, and from Turkey to England for 10 years at the age of18. After studying photography, Marion travelled again using Polaroid film, and announced a photo book '100 Polaroid' in France released in 2009, which was well received and made a start point as the professional photographer. Afterwards, she published two more photo books and her works are owned as part of 20th century collection at the National Library in France.
Marion's work leads people to all over the world in a flash. A subject in a mysterious time and space with nostalgia is transformed into an eternal scenery at a fantasy moment, which is neither present nor past.
The space in minimal composition looks like a picture restored to a flat color and form with a texture Polaroid has. It's the photo excluding physical reality, which makes a series of the universal scene with the unique planar characteristics.
In this exhibition, all his major photo works, from the latest piece 'From San Francisco to Los Angeles' to large-scale one will be on display.
