A Fairy without Wings by Koji Sekimoto
by TRAUMARIS Art Space
Location: TRAUMARIS Art Space
Date: 5 Feb - 2 Mar 2014

TRAUMARIS|SPACE will be participating in off-site program of Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions 2014.
Koji Sekimoto has photographed hand-made a doll of a girl with its clothes and stage setting. Through photograph and video, Sekimoto has expressed young woman's wavering emotion or indefinite situation like a short story. A process of working started from his imagination takes several months but 'imagining or creating' are private amusement to Sekimoto.

In this exhibition, 3 unpublished works will be on view. A person enjoying the sense of freedom under the table in a room filled with candles, or a fairy without wings in a forest at dawn. The artist got inspiration from atmosphere of Finnish forest. Monitor and frame installed in a wall brings back old memories. This is also the installation to recreate emotion Sekimoto felt in his studio.
Sekimoto will participate in Yokohama Triennale 2014.
