KAYOKOYUKI is delightful to introduce Emi Otaguor's first solo exhibition at AOYAMA | MEGURO. Otagura makes an own story derived from daily necessaries. Such as gum, vinyl sheet, tablecloth, and gavanized plate, she abstracts diversity and characteristics from them and convert into the art work as adding drawing.
Also, in a collage work, a quali egg's pattern is printed by pigment of a mother bird just before spawn and this color has a function to protect itself from the outside. The quali spawns a same shape of eggs, so that the pattern on it is like a fingerprint, which is described 'a landscape painted by each quali' by the artist. The quali egg is used as a tool to connect with the outer space.
For this exhibition, new sculpture made of the gavanized plate, gum series since 2008, and quali egg collage works in three approaches will be on display.
