Gallery Trinity is pleased to announce a new solo exhibition of Aiko Yokota.

Artist's Statement 
In my work I aim to capture light - a pale and tranquil light that leads the way to an inner sanctum; a dreamworld, almost. My work is inspired by ambiances in nature that exude serenity and warmth: an impression of morning mist, a ray of sunshine filtered through the trees in a forest, the sound of the wind or the previous nightfs snow slowly melting into water. When working I face the challenge of capturing these fleeting impressions by applying soft, pastel colours to the canvas.
