ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I am attracted to form. I am inspired by interesting and strange shapes that exist in nature and that at first sight appear to be completely normal. For example I can see a cumulonimbus cloud, a decaying piece of wood and a flying bird and when I think about them simultaneously they all become the same. Every day I see forms that you may not notice. Ephemeral vistas need to be captured before they float away and I do this by making clay impressions. I feel very close to each and every one of these unique objects and they eventually become the inspiration for my paintings.
