Blitz Gallery is pleased to open an solo exhibition by Terri Weifenbach, 'Hidden Sites.' since 'Between Maple and Chestnut' in 2012, this is fourth solo exhibition at the gallery.
'Hidden Sites' is the project held in Groningen, the Netherlands, in 2005 and Weifenbach was invited to this. The project aims to newly revive disappeared places in history, such as church, castle and country house. Five artists including Weifenbach were invited to record selected sites to promote and record.
Weifenbach is a renowned artist with color photos of nature scenery. Sharp focal point on photo is characteristic of her work. Bright works giving a feeling of meditation like a dream are very popular. Works in the exhibition were taken for the purpose of recording current landscape but her consistent world of photograph didn't change. 14 color photos from the series will be on display.
