Blitz Gallery will be presenting the new works of Tomio Seike, the photographer working in Europe and America. In this exhibition, photos of City Scape in Prague taken in November, 2012. Most of photographers visiting here find a scene of the Middle ages and try to take a photo at night to remove a trace of modern times. However, Seike tries to catch the mixture of today and the Middle Ages on the street during day time. He requires us to turn the attention to the essence of Wester culture, which conserves the old times but accepts something new.
His project with a digital camera started from a combine with Sigma DP2. For this exhibition, the series created by DP3 Merrill. The improvement point is that the new program to covert a raw image to black one directly is added. As reducing the process, the power of description is improved. He says that a creative style is needed to make a good quality of photo beyond camera equipment. Even though DP3 he uses is easy to purchase but it is hard to build up the world of photograph like Seike.
At the exhibition, 20 digital archival prints taken by Sigama DP3 Merrill will be on display including some large scale works. It will be a place to feel his own world of digital photo.
