'Flower' is Saki Nakamura's first attempt after nude portraits of men. As taking man's nude in minute detail under a light bulb or blurred natural light in the dark, Nakamura realized a different perspective of the body.
In this exhibition, she will show photos of cut or bulb flowers. 'Same as nude portraits, even though the flower has been used a lot as a motif but I cannot recall each part of form. Thus, I tried to observe it carefully.' Nakamura said.
Using a short focus lens constantly but changing to a digital camera and strobe, Nakamura tried to make a form or color of flower more vividly. By strobe, gradation of floral leaf, soft line of set, leaves' dry texture, and root in details are showed clearly. Those flower photos by Nakamura give a new aspect of existing image for flowers.
