Kota Kshi has announced 'Barracks' series in July of last year, made of disused flooring, cellular board and flood wood from TÅhoku earthquake.
Last June, while making 'Barracks' series, he has visited Miyagi and Fukushima, sites devastated by the earthquake for the first time. He has collected flood wood, a tin plate or mattress, and photographed a dirty note or empty bottle, household items buried under the sands at the same time.
In this exhibition, those things photographed in Iwte province in last December will be exhibited.
His photos tell a situation of 'things' in those sites after disaster, and also provide a chance to think about other 'things' non-existing in there anymore.
