These photographs were taken during the years 1988-1999 on my travels throughout Japan and were included in the book “twin boat”, published last year by Session Press.

Usually I edit my own books, but this time I entrusted the task to Miwa Susuda of Session Press. She made the book an expression of the fiery love of my youth.

I was taken aback with her bold selections and juxtapositions, and the book received an amazing reception among photography lovers, such that only 10 copies remain unsold out of the original print run of 600 copies.

This exhibition in Zen Foto Gallery will show 13 prints out of the 30 that I have newly printed in the size of 16 by 20 inches.
