Imura art gallery tokyo is pleased to present the solo exhibition of Sae Miyoshi titled "inside the hole".
Red, blue, yellow, green, pink, black and white.. The oil paint of various colors applied onto canvas, sometimes sensitively and sometimes abruptly, forms a forceful appearance. In her works Miyoshi depicts ambiguous figures which can be grasped both as figurative and abstractive, such as curved lines reminds you of the internal organs and symmetrical forms, in the intense colors and let them expand on the canvas. She captures the feeling or images unable to be put into words that she always had since her childhood.
"It is hardly possible to tell my own feelings to others because they become something different once they are put into words. I feel like the finished works are just like the other self of me." , she says.
Though she get the inspiration from negative emotions as anxiety or discomfort in most cases and the works seem to picture a chaotic world at one glance, the images possess innocence that comes from the pure internality which makes the strong impression on the viewers. She concretises her infrangible memories and emotion onto canvas in the most keen and highly original style.
