Harmas Gallery is pleased to announce the new group exhibition of Taro Morimoto, Hideyo OTSUKI, and Iku HARADA. This exhibition is based on three keywords - process, motif and material.
Taro Morimoto makes a boundary on canvas using a painting tool. This boundary is an outline of motif, topic and prevents a mix of different colours. Colour within its boundaries is endless, flat and gives a pleasure. And in terms of structure, it expresses abstract motif beautifully.
Hideyo Otsuki utilizes a masking tape as a motif, usually used for a tool of hard edge. As painting the tape, which has to be removed, a process could become ambiguous.
Iku Harada has painted with thickly layered colours and own brush stroke. Polygonal images transformed into a landscape, the ideal world fascinate the viewers.
