Date: 11 Jan - 2 Feb 2014
Yasue Kodama started working on still life in 1980s, and after simple and dynamic abstract in 1980, he consistently works on 'Deep Rhyme' series. In 'Deep Rhyme,' he covers a sense with shading and depth before recognizing existences of object and nature. He covers a forest and a lake which are very common, but a landscape he experiences from there is reflection of his soul. Sense of body when a forest is enveloped in fog. Sound of an existence showed by a scene reflecting on a frozen pond in winter midnight. Kodama creates those feelings between layers in painting and paints.
