Yasumura has suggested photographs to block existing idea. For example, 'Domestic Scandals' is a photo series of ordinary landscapes. 'Kincho'(2004) in this series is about a scene of insecticide on a drawer. There is no surprise but at least an object was unprecedented. In a formative view, a background in ocher, a brown closet, and contrast between white, red and blue on the insecticide are composed vividly.
The new series '1/1' shows a different aspect of Yasumura unlike previous works. It is framed familiar sceneries geometrically. It seems that Yasumura tries to reflect a landscape seen by William Eggleston, a leader of the age of a color photo in the United States, on our daily life. Such action must be to create 'paradise' in our 'everyday life.'
