Hiromart Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Ultra Deep Field, an exhibition of new works by Alan Van Every. 

A Bangkok-based American artist, Alan Van Every returns to Japan for his second solo-show with Hiromart Gallery, following his favorably received debut solo-show held last year. 

To the show Van Every says "I am working to make the message of the work outwards and larger. The works have a basis in reality but I consider them abstract because I am still painting in a very instinctual and improvised manner. I am painting a vision of the past (everything above us is in the past to an extent) but it is an imagined, non-preconceived notion of what may be recorded in the sky above us."

the subject of these most recent paintings which were made especially for this show, is an actual or imagined vision of "outer space." The paintings use reflective materials and feature 3 dimensional paint "protrusions."
