We are pleased to announce the presentation of｜flowers｜dance performance PARADISE @3331 Arts Chiyoda.
｜flowers｜is a fluid collaboration led by Yoshimoto Yumi, moving beyond the theatre to engage dance with highly unique spaces. This time flowers will take as its stage the brand new arts centre "3331 Arts Chiyoda", launched just this June after being renovated from a Junior High School.

Previously in May of this year "PARADISE" was realized in a shipyard of Kawasaki.
The nightscape of the industrial area, with its array of factory lights, provided a unique backdrop to the production in which the sounds of cello and percussion resonated throughout the space and the limbs of Yoshimoto assimilated with the landscape, creating an unforgettable impression upon the audience.

In her work Yoshimoto takes hold upon the time and spaces of our lived experience, and the many forms which may be born from this, and through the inner space of the body creates a new dimension of imagination, transforming it to a wider outer space.

"PARADISE" sews an intricate thread between numerous ways of time and space; a place in which something has been lost, a memory buried in the depths of our mind, the future that we can not yet see.

In recent years, through the developing work of "PARADISE" Yoshimoto expresses the happiness, suffering, anger, love and the various states of our hearts and minds in our lived reality, creating a space where the core of many lives condensed into one point. Each time the production is realized in a different venue, with different music, lighting and objects constructing a performance work which may be viewed as an original "transient art".

This time Yoshimoto will realize the next stage of "PARADISE" in an empty, white cube space.
Yet this space, once that of a school, is also filled with a dense atmosphere and it is here that we welcome you to encounter "PARADISE".
