Born 1975, Hiroshima. Completed a Master degree at Edinburgh College of Art 2005. Coordinated the Former Naka Waste Incineration Plant Art Project "Trash becomes Art! High Quality Dust" in 2007 and was again the project leader for the 2009 Hiroshima Art Project "Kippo Maru : Exploring inside the ship!". Major exhibitions include participation in the 2011 Yokohama Triennale (Yokohama Art Museum), the 10th Lyon Biennale "Everyday Spectacle" (Lyon, France), "Happiness in Everyday Life" (Art Tower Mito, Ibaraki), "Roppongi Crossing 2007 Space for your Future" (Mori Art Museum, Tokyo). He takes familiar everyday objects and transforms them into installations recalling miniature landscapes. He currently lives and works in Hiroshima.

Out of Disorder (White Mountains)
Cloth and Fabric
A case can be observed brimming with fabric. Looking upon this work seemingly like a mountain of discarded laundry, intricate constructions of pylons and towers can be discerned. The seemingly random creases and wrinkles of the fabric become actual contours of a mountainous landscape. Upon further observation of these constructions one may come to see they are formed from numerous colours and thicknesses of thread. And the pile of cloth which at first glance seemed a white mass, gradually reveals itself as a formation of many different shades of white, with a complex range of surface patterns and quality, recalling the diversity of mountain plantation. For one year you are welcome to enjoy this microcosm, placed within a glass case like a scientific specimen.
