Francisco Guevara, who has been invited to the microresidency special program, will present the result of his one-month research and production residency. The work will be completed by audiences' participation to the opening performance.

Francisco's work and projects emphasize the role of contemporary art in economic development and as a tool for social change. As an artist he has explored the links between food, rituals of eating and collective identity. He is director of the independent art space/residence Arquetopia. During his residency he has been investigating the connections between Japan and Mexico though the medium of food which although a primal necessity also reflects highly specific social contexts.
