"Because I always pursue what wood block prints are, and because I put my theme as plurality that always comes with printings, repetition is the main constituent of my artworks.

In my early days, I expressed icons like Buddhist priests, ghostly apparitions or skeletons from the imaginary world of the ancient times.

Recently, however, the icons have been changing to natural subjects such as flowers, rains or sky.For this exhibition I would like to show my new printhings of such icons taken from scenes in the real world."
