NOISE
by Wada Fine Arts
Location: Wada Fine Arts
Artist(s): Yasushi EBIHARA
Date: 5 Jun - 26 Jun 2010

There was and old videotape. When I watched the movie recorded on the tape, it seemed to have worn away that there were many scanning lines on the screen. The scanning lines become colors and dominate the screen violently.

One scene in a certain movie, what is the girl behind the noise looking at and thinking about? The face taken from the continuous time frames stays there as it is. There must be context and faces, that should have been, in the consecutive segments that go back and forth.

That symbolizes its life and there is a moment of silence depicted on Noise cuased by the gap in time and memory.
It raises a relationship of silence and noise by referring movie as motif and there won't be anything left with us after watching movie.
Only the things we felt while watching movie are the things we could keep and the detail of them will disappear in time.
In every moment that we live in extremely relates to our memory and time.
Light of the moment, and its life is one of the blink of light in vast time.
The moment of noise, occurred and disappeared in time of human's consumption, will open the door to infinite space-time.
