"The far distant space. When I gaze at white porcelain, a scenery together with profound thought appears, it reflects my heart and exists as a shape in the never vanished space, even if I shut my eyes. I don't know why this shape appears. It could be formed by time, memories and space. Porcelain is beautiful. Yet the more beautiful porcelain exists in the background. White in black is beautiful. It reaches to the heart beyond colors. I want to find far distant space, never vanishes, even if I shut my eyes.
In this exhibition, I'm particular about the texture and the black of chamotte, that is contrasted with porcelain: form a framework with the mixture of charmotte in black glaze, then combine it with sheet copper and bake it. Ultimate black comes out. Through this process, I will create works which impress white."
