Master of contemporary British pop, Julian Opie, swept the globe with his full bright colors and minimalist black lines.
Julian is highly influenced by advertising signs, 18th century portraits, cartoons and Japanese woodblock prints. He always take pictures of people, landscape or still life ( the main character) , then blur the images, simplified them to the pure lines. Julian established a distinctive artistic style, using computer graphics methods, the main character's image merge into a simple and humorous signs for traditional portraits with a new interpretation of all the individuals about become symbolic representatives.
He always pay attention to human's dynamic and posture, such as the "Pedestrian" appear in the city's scenery. Works ranged from graphic design to public sculpture, combined with the digital
devices, he began to put these "pedestrian " into a complete different setting and transformed their monotonous repetitive movements into the city's public space, and finally present a beautiful scenery and an interesting note.
