EMON PHOTO GALLERY is proud to present the EMON AWARD winners for 2013. 

EMON AWARD has started in 2001 in the aim of creating a chance for up-coming and insupiring artists and becoming a future step toward the art world of photography’ development. It is an annual competition in which dynamic new artists working with prints and video on a wide array of subject matter are invited to enter their portfolios. 

The grand prize winner of the third EMON AWARD is Nobuyuki Tabata, who shot his mundane surroundings every day of the year with some complex feelings toward his hometown. We also introduce the individual judge selection awards winners’ works. 

The judges for EMON AWARD 2013 were Hiroshi Yamazaki (professor at Musashino Art University, photographer), Ivan Vartanian (GOLIGA books), Yumi Yamaguchi (art producer), Teiya Iwabuchi (editor, Bijutsu Techo art magazine), Seiji Komatsu (director, EMON Photo Gallery)
