The Euphrates Exhibition: From Research to Expression
by Ginza Graphic Gallery
Location: Ginza Graphic Gallery
Artist(s): Euphrates
Date: 2 Dec - 25 Dec 2010

In December 2010 the Ginza Graphic Gallery (ggg) will host The Euphrates Exhibition: From Research to Expression. Although organized as a company, Euphrates is made up of graduates of the Masahiko Sato Laboratory at Keio University whose academic origins are evident in the way they apply knowledge gained through research to creative expression across a wide range of media including film, animation, exhibitions and graphic design. Much attention has been given to the latest efforts by Masahiko Sato and Euphrates: the new five-minute television programs 2355 and 0655 that have been running on the NHK Educational TV channel since April. More than just an opportunity to see the work of Euphrates, the exhibition also provides insight into the group's unique approach by focusing on the research that forms the foundation of its creative work.
