Art Director. Born in Miyazaki prefecture in 1947. Established his own company, Beans, in 1978. Active in the fields of advertising, publishing, music, television, etc. Major clients to date include Parco, Suntory, Comme des Garçons and Asahi Shimbun. Among numerous awards received are the following: Tokyo Art Directors Club (ADC) Grand Prize, (Parco “Chuck Berry”, 1981), Tokyo ADC Members' Award (Hattori Seiko “Socie”, 1984), Nimes International Poster Biennale (Parco “Culture Park”, 1986), New York ADC International Exhibition Award (1987), Cannes International Advertising Festival (1990), Typedirection in Japan Annual Members Silver Prize (Comme de Garçons, 1990), International Poster Triennale in Toyama (Comme de Garçons, 1991),  Typedirection in Japan Annual Members Gold Prize （Morisawa, 1993）, Tokyo Type Directors Club (TDC) Annual Awards, Members' Prize （KIoi Sinfonietta Tokyo,The 31st Subscription Concert, 2002), Tokyo TDC Annual Awards, Members' Prize (Shueisha, Meisa Fujishiro's photo collection, "Niku (Flesh)", 2005), Tokyo TDC Annual Awards, TDC Prize (Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun T-1 World Cup 2 nd Summer of '06 "A Lion Bouncing Up and Down", 2007), Tokyo ADC Grand Prize, 2008 and Tokyo TDC Annual Awards 2009, Book Design Prize (Little More Books, ”INOUE TSUGUYA GRAPHIC WORKS 1981-2007").
