AISHO MIURA ARTS is pleased to present the solo exhibition of Kazuma Koike (1980- ) from 6th Nov to Dec 4th, 2010.
In this exhibition called “The quest ”, we show 3 big pieces painting with acrylic look like beads and over 100 pieces drawing with pen.
Born in Chigasaki, Kanagawa , 1980, Kazuma Koike stayed Buenos Aires Argentina 1986-1992 , and also stayed Barcelona Espanol 1995-1998. After he graduated from Nihon university college of art fine art major sculpture, he mainly worked sculpture with aluminum or plywood and drawing with water color.
Additionally, Koike presented paintings composed color drips from one year ago. That stereoscopic paint is unique to him who learned sculpture.
Koike said two elements , organic texture and color drips is most important for painting works.
He made a huge number of drawings based on diverse memento like nature, consciousness, music, culture. Then He made sculptures and paintings based on these drawing.
He carefully combined pieces of images . Eventually he is success to put out the parallel world.
This exhibition “The quest ” means trip of inquisition, pursuance and adventure. Koike said “I think art mean keeping change a thing for me.” He faces a problem on process of his work . ”How can people just feel and see art without existent value judgment ”.
This exhibition presents drawings as first impulsion and painting as channel of art.
