Koike born in Kanagawa in 1980, lived in Buenos Aires from 1986 to 1992, Barcelona from 1995 to 1998. Came back to Japan and graduated from sculpture department in Nihon University College of Art and moved from his long lived studio in Kanagawa to Osaka in 2012.

Recent years, Koike represented his unique sensibility creating meticulous continuing spots painting, sculpture and video works. He commented on this exhibition; " Moving to Kansai area made me interested in Japanese art left behind more than ever." Koike has been positively using antiquity relic motifs from all over the world and in this exhibition, there will be three pieces of oil and watercolor painting, sculpture using old Japanese motifs.
