Hicosaka has been creating painting and drawings with tracing the photograph with colored pencils or pen, which he calls "somatization of image". Hicosaka said the world we are feeling today is lacking "somatization". Tracing the photograph, the experiment of unlimited accession of "vision" and "tactile sense" is to make the world controllable again, the world when it was more simple and could feel the future in our hands, and the great painters created the masterpieces with their somatizaiton.

In this exhibition, Hicosaka prepared an extremely low-res photo of his mother and structured an interface to touch and feel the image. With his eyes closed, Hicosaka traced the borderline of each pixels, with the rule he already made. The rule is to trace along the line of all the 352 pixels of the photo. It is easy enough to remember with eyes closed and based on the simple model of tracing. With these lines drawn over the photograph, it will be graded by his mother, the model, and will be exhibited in the orders of its grade.
