"Starry nights" and "night scenes" are words often used to describe my drawings.

My interest in how an observer, including myself, extracts a certain scenery from scattered colored points on a background and how a space allotted with such minimal points evolve together on screen, led to the creation of this work.

When seen up close, they are just merely points of paint aligned on background, but there comes a moment when observed from a distance, when they suddenly connect as a whole with one's memory.

The result being the mind swaying back and forth, between a linear plane and a grand interspace intertwined closely with one's personal, episodic memory. The swaying does not seem to settle but continues to quietly stir oneself.
