Gallery MoMo Roppongi features gallery collection from 1990s. The exhibition shows the fragment of Japanese art in the late 20th century as well as provides a chance to look at Japanese artists born after 1980s.
After the burst of the bubble economy, Japan had faced with the economy in recession, and it hit the art market as well. However, during the time, a new type of gallery in 'sagacho,' a food warehouse in on the edge of town, was emerged, and it was start of new generation of galleries.
Including early small works by Mr., gallery collection presenting the end of 20th century are on view.
