Gallery MoMo Ryogoku is delightful to announce the solo exhibition of Saori Ono. Born in 1981, Ono studied at Joshibi University of art and design and received many awards. After facing with her grandfather's death in by a distress in the sea and father's return from it, she experienced love and power of life. Also, after the Tohoku earthquake, the fishing industry in Fukushima was hit by it, which made her immensely shocked. Through this experience, she opened the solo exhibition and became the winner of Sompo Japan Art Award.
Such experiences are not connected to her art works directly, but when she paints something about the sea, clear love for life. The exhibition will be held based on her thought, 'Between each inner side and a society, I want to express inner scenery from there,' and the theme 'Being at non-existent place.'
