Anton∙Koyu
by Gallery MoMo (Ryogoku)
Location: Gallery MoMo (Ryogoku)
Artist(s): Koutaro INOUE
Date: 19 Jan - 16 Feb 2013

Motives of Inoue's works are limited to a house, tress and a person, and dark colours, a winding brush stroke, and a expressionless face show a feeling of anxiety. The title 'Anton∙Koyu' expresses the atmosphere of his works obviously, and shows a glimmer light in a chaotic darkness. There is a feelingless landscape, but a light from house gives a feeling of warmness, and a face of person seems unstable but has something intimate.
These provide a passive but hopeful light in an anxious external situation, and willingness of 'Koyu' from the title also shows the same feeling.
