Unknown Future and Forgettable Past

Gallery MOMO Ryogoku is pleased to announce new exhibition 'Unknown Future and Forgettable Past' by Shinnosuke Yoshida from 30 June to 28 July. Yoshida was born in 1983, studied for a master degree at Tokyo University of the Arts, and he has awarded Shell Art Awards and Art award Tokyo. After then, he chose artificial buildings as a motif for his works and has shown more abstract art works, to express people's coexistence and resist the natural environment. His graduation work 'a person' is the oil painting with a length of 7m, it produces feelings of the mighty universe, human strong spirit and coexistence. His recent work 'Unknown future and Forgettable past' reminds us of earthquakes and nature's devastating events from it, and he reflected his life on boxes to show his unbreakable spirit for survival.
In this exhibition, beside 2 works above, his prize-winning work for the first time and 8 newest works are showed.
