The solo exhibition of MADSAKI will be held at Clear Edition & Gallery after one year. His keyword is 'free and fast change.'
When looking back his old works, they are very delicate but sometimes lifelike and freely expressed, and during few years, his style has significantly been changed. However, there is something in common that he creates an art work with humor exactly in terms of announcement date.
It was found that an apparent expression keep changing but fundamental 'style' is consistent. This point is created by his humor and quite unique view for the society. Above all, 'word play' series contains paradox as well as a political aspect.
He thought that any masterpiece shows a beautiful expression but desultory abuses or joke could be hidden under the work, so that he announced the wood panel work, 'write something before you gesso the canvas.'
In this exhibition, his smile mark painting 'happiness overdose' and other works with straight talk and sarcasm will fill the space.
