It was only during a recent trip to Indonesia, that we were introduced to the work of Agus Purnomo, considered a rising young star in Indonesian abstract art.  Agus was born in Kendal, Central Java in 1975 and graduated from the Indonesia Institute of Arts in Yogyakarta.  He has participated in many exhibitions in Indonesia. Asian Collection Contemporary Art Gallery is the first gallery to show his work in Japan.  He received the Nokia Art Award in 1999, the Jakarta Art Award in 2007 and was selected for the International Print and Drawing Biennale in Taiwan in 2006.  Recently, he has attracted the attention of international collectors and has achieved record prices at Borobudur and Masterpiece Auctions in Singapore and Jakarta. His works are obviously very popular with our clients in the accounting and finance fields but actually his works have a very universal appeal. He use the numbers to express a wide variety of emotions and expressions.
