MIHOKANNO: A natural intersection of individual purposes. MIHOKANNO is an artist collective that is made up of eight artists and one designer. Tokyo Wonder Site has previously introduced the works of Soshiro Matsubara, Saeka Enokura, Masaya Chiba and Cobra of MIHOKANNO, in the "Zone", "Index #2", "Ritual" and "O Collection" exhibitions respectively. While each member has been in the spotlight for his/her novel style of expression, it was their eagerness to explore not entirely visible horizons that drew them together quite naturally to form MIHOKANNO as a body that reflects in a way cross sections of one person's character. In their roles as artists, the members have been casually discussing topics that are normally too hot and fishy to handle, and their collective work marks an attempt to smoke out the mixture of comprehension and miscomprehension involved in this dialogue.

Their newest creations including works co-produced in the studio of TWS Aoyama:Creator-in-Residence showcase the artists' mutual inspiration, while highlighting the refreshingly innovative outcome of the process from the production stage to the eventual exhibition, which even the artists could hardly predict.

Look forward to witnessing these exceptional Japanese artists' straightforward takes on art beyond the usual exhibition framework, as the works they present here announce the rise of a new art scene.
