This two-term exhibition showcases six groups of international and local creators ( [Part 1] Nobuko Tsuchiya, Yuri Suzuki, Jr-Shin Luo, [Part 2] Midori Mitamura, Tetsuhiro + Kiyomi Uozumi, Luis Urculo) who participated in TWS Residency Programs in recent years. What all six groups have in common in their works is the fact that they routinely use things that are closely linked to their everyday lives. Via their keen insight, they assimilate a variety of materials and information from the environment around them, turning them into something new.
They stayed in Berlin, Stockholm, Seoul or Melbourne as well as in Tokyo. As each creator comes into contact with the culture of their place of residence and experiences daily life there, they develop new vantage points that give rise to another form of daily life and created works during their residencies. In addition, all participating creators will show new works for this exhibition in particular focusing on their development or influence after their experiences of the residencies.
This exhibition may change your view of mundane things just a little and cultivate a rich creativity, allowing you to experience the "Unseen Daily Life".
