Ota Fine Arts is pleased to announce the group exhibition "Season of Incubation 2" starts from 29 January.
This will be linked with our exhibition of "Season of Incubation 1" at the new artfair "G-tokyo"at Mori Arts Center Gallery (30 and 31 January).
The exhibition will introduce mainly young emerging artists, who joined the gallery since our moving to Kachidoki in March in 2008.
Naoya Inose is currently studying at the art university. His solid technique produces the landscapes with the taste of Northern Romanticism and his surreal landscapes and titles warn us about the problems we are facing at this present time.
Tomoko Kashiki had her first solo exhibition at Ota Fine Arts last year.
Currently attending PhD in Graduate School of Art (painting) at Kyoto City
University of Arts. Her paintings manage to achieve smooth surface and layer upon layer of colours by her original process of repeating: painting on
canvas, sanding down and painting again.
There will be also the video artist, Hiraki Sawa, Tetsuya Umeda who generates unique installation works by using daily tools. Tsuyoshi Ozawa had a major solo exhibition at Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art last year and will present his new series of works.
