Ota Fine Art Gallery will hold summer collection 'walk in Asia' from 24 July to 31 August. Recently, up-and coming Asian countries represent that a relook at Asian culture as well as economy and politics. There are many controversial issues in the aspect of Asian culture, such as ignorance of the neighbor countries' traditions and dependence on the Western culture. But on the other hand, there is the flow of focusing on Asian culture. In this exhibition, diverse artworks from different asia regions will be showed. Mitsuke and Yee will show recreated traditional materials. Also, Ho Sin Tung's drawings express how the film, which is called as 'sub-culture', can be turn itself in Asia, and Manami Koike shows himself through the story in his work 'non-existence world in mirror'(2012). 'Vanitas'(2012) by Naoya Lose criticizes Nuclear disaster by the 'Vanitas' style of still lifes from Flandre in 17th Century. This exhibition tells that knowing a history of modern times and current issues is a shortcut to proceed to the future.
