hpgrp GALLERY TOKYO is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of works by Ryo Ohwada. Ohwada's work that co-exists a unique expression of the digital camera and the clear concept, have received high evaluations on the international platform. In this show, not-yet-represented series which objected a huge amount of taxidermy collections from Tsuyama Wonder Museum in Tsuyama city in Okayama, will be unveiled. Semi permanently confined animals in the techniques of taxidermy and photographs can be seen as visualized time. In 2005, Ohwada's work was selected for "reGeneration. 50 Photographers of Tomorrow". at Musee de l'Elysee in Switzerland, and awarded Newcomer's Award of Photographic Society of Japan Award in 2011. He has published many photo books and writings, and also eagerly working on education for young artists. Ohwada is expected as an up-andcoming photographer.
