Kitaoji ROSANJIN (1883-1959) was born in Kyoto the second son of a priest of the Kamigamo Shrine. He was a distinctive artist who worked in a variety of arts, while starting out as a calligrapher and a seal engraver, with the eyes of an unconventional aesthete; he reexamined the entire living environment with his main focus on eating and created everything from ceramics, lacquer ware, and paintings to interior designs. We have mainly dealt in his ceramics for over 20years.
