Eikoh Hosoe, Daido Moriyama and Katsumi Watanabe, represented artists by Taka Ishii Gallery will participate in the new group show 'Tokyo 1970 by Japanese Photographers 9'. Currently, the photography world takes note of post-war photo in Japan. Especially, in 1970s, the turbulent era of politics and culture with economic development, many unique photographers were working. 9 photographers representing 1970s will show 300 works with a motif 'Tokyo'.
In this exhibition, representative series works of great artists will be on view, such as 'First Born' by Taji Arita, 'Kinky' by Hajime Sawatari, 'Simmon: A Private Landscape' by Eikoh Hosoe, and so on. Also, 'Farewell Photography' by Daido Moriyama, which gave the photo world a shock, will be exhibited as well as unpublished works.
