by X-Power Gallery
Location: X-Power Gallery
Date: 4 Apr - 30 Apr 2009

Exhibition in USA:April 1~ April 24

Exhibition in Taiwan:April 4~ April 30

To fulfill its mission and to discover more talented emerging artists, X-Power Gallery organized Asia’s largest art contest – 2009 International Art Competition. Out of 637 submitted works from 42 countries throughout the world, 98 pieces were selected into exhibition as works of excellent achievement. These selected works are to be exhibited collectively in both the Taiwan Venue in Taipei and the USA Venue in Beverly Hills. The opening reception along with the award ceremony at the USA Venue is to take place on April 4, 2009 at 18:00.

Art is not limited to a certain formality. Creative ideas should not be put under a standard. The value of works should not be confined by media. Upholding such beliefs, X-Power Gallery especially invited the three of the top artists of the International Art Federation of Italy as the jury panel (Alessandro Consonni from Italy, Luise Andersen from USA, Lee Sun-Don from Taiwan). It is our intention to break through the cultural barriers on art expression, dismantle the art divisions, and put all works behind the same staring line, for a fair competition.

These selected works of the 2009 International Art Competition are so diverse in style. Encompassing the various states of remoteness, tranquility, expressiveness, passion, deconstructionism, confrontation, and criticism. They are like beautiful flowers in a garden that are unique in their own specific ways. It is not difficult to discover the distinguishing feature and artistic style of different cultures projected from these works. These artists integrate their memories and personal life experiences, using different dimensions of meaning and representation to bring up vivid impressions in the viewers. Appreciating these selected works, earmarks running into the trend of the contemporary art world. Soften your pose, swing with the visual impact, drift along the ripples of emotion, and get crazy about art on the Rise of Art Wind.
