VT's "Channel 【F】" and S.P.P.'s "Old is New" will be exhibited at SLY. The "F" in Channel 【F】 stands for Fantasyland; in this project, avant garde artists Chih-Yun Lu and Jin-Hong Lin transform their everyday encounters and flights of imagination into concrete forms, and thus cause things in their minds and subconscious to exist in real space. In Old is New, the veteran artists at S.P.P. rely on their extraordinary artistic thinking to comfortably render the milieu of the times in terms of stream of consciousness and awakenings. This project shows how symbolic language, media use, and evolving interprets can reveal one's artistic beliefs. The artistic points of view and magnetism created via the ponderings of these well-seasoned meditators suggest their inner contentment and attitude toward making art.
