Beginning from the ink and wash paintings “Wei-Hsang. Chen-Chieh ”in her art college days, through to her oil paintings and mixed media series “Chang-Hai Hing” when she studied in New York, continuing to the “Traces of Realm” series which span across new York and Taiwan, until the later “Realm of Form‧World of Sense”, “Observe Microcosm” and “Shi-Feng Chung de You-Wei" series.

Tung Hsin Ru’s paintings continue on a self-discovering journey exploring the mental image within, truthfully expressing the relationship of nature, her own senses and subconscious. Her new exhibition “Entropy” serves as a tribute and admiration to the universe and nature, focusing on the sophisticated balance between nature and mankind as the central concept. Showing in the exhibition Entropy is a painting with the same title Entropy. The painting features multiple layers of red as its main tone suggesting passion and expresses an intangible energy which cannot be described. Hesitant brush marks also suggestive of the power of Entropy and its mutual relationships. The unevenness in the brush strokes is also indicative of “as in entropy”. From the self originating path of discovery, traveling and experiencing varies stages and changes in life. Tung Hsin Ru strives for an idealized internal world; continues to confront the stillness within, searching inside her own subconscious and voice. To Tung Hsin Ru, her images are filled with passion toward form and the critical reflection in self discovery, at the same time this is completed in a delicate and poetic manner reminiscent of the artist herself. Through her journey, Tung Hsin Ru take ideas and concepts which are hard to describe or difficult to speak of, through her paintings transforming them into a visualized suggestion. Similarly the Entropy series, takes the unorganized exterior environment, cross examine and analyze the energy looking beyond time and space, as if reflecting between the self and exterior environment, producing a self creating dialogue.
