VT Artsalon will be celebrating its 3rd anniversary on this coming Saturday, March 21, 2009. Looking back at the past three years, VT Artsalon and its eight founders have proudly introduced the first lounge-gallery art salon to the general public in Taiwan. This unique alternative space served more than just a gallery but the place to see modern art in all its forms. VT Artsalon has surprised people with many great and successful exhibitions relating to installations, videos, photography, sculptures, oil paintings, interactive art, and graphic.

The basement location in a residential area has received numerous complaints from neighbors. Not to mention how frequent the police has checked this spot. VT Artsalon, like other galleries in Taiwan, has been through some very difficult times. These years are tough but VT Artsalon stands still. It provides a platform which welcomes emerging talents and young artists to experiment and pursue their ideas, philosophies in lives and for established artists to practice the possibilities of the diverse art.

VT Artsalon has become a hot spot for gallery-goers in Taipei and it is loved by artists, curators and visitors around the world. Its exhibitions, music and cross-culture events have developed, deepened and influenced different generations.

It is the same passion and ideal three years ago that encourage and determine VT Artsalon to go on. This year, VT Artsalon welcomes its friends to celebrate together its success and growth. A grand group exhibition will be held during the celebration including three talks.
