1969
Born in Taipei, currently works in Taipei, Taiwan.

Yao Jui-Chung is a Taiwanese artist who devotes himself on the issues of native culture and politics environment in the island. In his latest works Dust in the Wind he tried to illustrate the daily life from the inner point of view, which is a conflict between the peaceful life in Scotland during the winter of 2007, and the chaotic society of Taiwan he came from. Using some Old Masters in Ming Dynasty as references, through the technique of simple brush strokes and the structure of traditional Chinese landscapes, he creates characters as the combination of cynics and devils, in an illusionary never-never land.
