Chen Wen-Chi was graduated from the Taipei National University of the Arts with a BFA degree in Art Theory in 1994.  Later he got his MFA degree from the Long Island University in 1999.  For the past 8 years, he has worked as full-time faculty in the Department of Communication Design at the Shih-Chien University.  Currently he is a full-time assistant professor in the department of Material Art at Tainan National University of the Arts.  Meanwhile, he also works as a part-time assistant professor in the department of Fine Arts at Taipei National University of the Arts.
